This site offers just what it advertises: a free, online typing test. Results presented graphically show whether or not you can be considered a touch typist. In addition, there are several free games that practice and reward quick touch typing responses, such as the KeyBricks game featured above. (There is a free download for their software, but it does not appear to be appropriate for use on shared computers as it only tracks one user.)
